About Barb
I have a medical degree (MD) from Indiana University School of Medicine, and practiced traditional family medicine for six years. It was rewarding in many ways, one of which was helping to clarify my purpose as a healer. Over time, I became frustrated with having such little time to spend with each patient, as well as the emphasis on pharmaceuticals as the primary treatment option.
My time in family practice also kindled a passion for helping abused children, so when the opportunity arose, I became the Medical Director for the KIDS Center, an agency specializing in the assessment of child abuse.
These experiences, along with personal work I was doing for my own healing, reinforced a feeling I had that there was more I could do for others than my Western medical training had prepared me for. I began studying other therapeutic modalities, especially how the flow of energy in our bodies affects our physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
Over the years I’ve learned how to use my hands, mind, heart, and intuition to remove energy blocks in people. While I believe - and clients report - that these techniques have profound effects, I continue to study, learn, and grow in my practice. There is no end to learning as long as we stay curious and receptive.
